Lake Okareka & Rotorua Area
Lake Okareka is one of four small lakes lying between Lake Rotorua and Lake Tarawera, in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand's North
Island. It is a beautiful lake giving you peace and quiet and also offering good fishing.
There is a village with about 500 people who live here. Some are holiday homes and others are permanent. It is a very friendly village with lots of beautiful walks around the area. The Lodge is very close to the board walk that takes you across marshlands and farmland around part of the lake. This walk is about 45 minutes and all flat.
